Nena L. Abernathy, 89, of Chester, formerly of Colonial Heights, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015 at St. Francis Medical Center. Born in Waynesboro, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Frances Day Lemonis, and the widow of Edward W. Abernathy. She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie A. Boston and husband, Myron E. Boston of Chesterfield; a granddaughter, Zoe N. Elston of Colonial Heights; a grandson, Nicholas S. Boston of Chesterfield; great-granddaughter, Callie T. Elston; great-grandson, Kahlo N. Elston; siblings, Paul E. Lemonis of Dayton, Ohio, Chris N. Lemonis of Cocoa Beach, Florida and Elaine L. Bowers of South Hill. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. (today) Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Oakwood Cemetery, 198 East 3rd Street, South Hill, Virginia 23970.
