Odis Gunn

Odis Gunn, 96, of 500 Montibello Street, Petersburg, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. He was the son of the late George W. and Edna Robinson Gunn. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 76 years, Katherine Worley Gunn; three brothers, Charles, Edwin, and Marvin Gunn; and sister, Ella Shaffer. He is survived by his niece and caretaker, Debbie Gunn Walker; and a number of other nieces and nephews. Odis was a foreman at Seward Luggage Manufacturing Company for 19 years and retired from Petersburg Box & Lumber after 17 years of service. He was a lifelong member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Southlawn Memorial Park, S. Prince George. The family would like to thank Odis' devoted caregivers at Crater Community Hospice and Brighter Living Assisted Living for the kindness and caring that they showed him in his final days.
