Odyta Bronder Forstall 84, of Colonial Heights, passed away July 4, 2009. She was born in Bycina, Poland on January 28, 1925 to the late Lwdwig Bronder and Viktoria Samol. After World War II, she settled in Heidelberg, Germany, where she met and married her husband, Harold Forstall on December 31, 1955 and she became a U.S. citizen, May 2, 1960. She traveled the world for many years due to Harold's military service, having lived in Germany, France, and Korea, and visited many countries, such as Austria, Luxemburg, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Great Britain and Hawaii. She was also a member of the German Speaking Darmenklub in the tri-cities area. Survivors include her husband Harold Forstall, her brother Herbert Bronder, who resides in Ergoldsbach, Germany, and many nieces and nephews who also resides in Germany. The husband request flowers because she loved flowers. Funeral service will take place 7:00 p.m. Thursday July 9, 2009 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory 2033 Boulevard 2033 with Father Kilumbu Kisuka officiating. Burial will take place in Arlington National Cemetery on Tuesday August 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
