Omar Hobson "Hobby" Estes, Jr., 61, of Colonial Heights, passed away July 27, 2018. He was born to Bunny N. Estes and Omar H. Estes, Sr. on October 18, 1956, and was a member of Covenant Christian Fellowship. His family was proud of his achievement of his Bachelor's Degree from International College of Bible Theology, and his license in real estate. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railway, and later became a professional window covering installer. He is remembered by those who knew him as a man who loved his family, but above all loved God. Hobby was preceded in death by his grandmother, Berma Estes Farrier; nephew, Adam Talbot; mother-in-law, Marilyn C. Munday; father-in-law, Louis J. Munday; brother-in-law, Wayne Strouth; and best friend, Ricky Williams. He is survived by his beloved dog and best friend, Samson; loving parents, Bunny and Omar Estes; wife, Margaret "Sunny" Estes; children, Joshua Hobson Estes (Jacquelyn), and Hillary Kay Estes; grandchildren, Sean Hobson Sathrum, Serena Jasmine Estes, Sages Elizabeth Estes, Judah Joshua Estes; siblings, Rhonda Mishoe (Wayne), and Weston N. Estes (Tracey); nieces and nephews, Stacy McKenzie (Bill), her father Rick Talbot and Tyler, William John McKenzie, Jr. (Elizabeth), Adam Grant McKenzie, Alexander Estes McKenzie, David Wesley McKenzie, Jennifer Webb (Michael), Gresham Estes, and Raquel Estes; friend, Steve Poole; cousin, Alex Loggins; and a number of other cousins and friends. The family will honor Hobby's memory with a private memorial service, with Pastor William John McKenzie officiating.
