Orbie Perkinson Jr.

Orbie Keeler Perkinson Jr., 79, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2011. He was the son of the late Orbie K. Sr. and Virginia A. Harrell Perkinson. Mr. Perkinson was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in the Korean War. He is survived by his loving wife, Carrie L. Perkinson; a son, Rodney D. Perkinson Sr. and his wife, Debbie of Colonial Heights; grandchildren, Rodney D. Perkinson Jr. of Claremont and Brittany Nicole Perkinson of Colonial Heights; sister, Mary Ashley of Buckroe Beach; and a brother, Harvey Young Perkinson Sr. of Calleo. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 14, 2011 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg with the Reverend Gibbie Elder officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3-4:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
