Owen H. Van Cleave, 75, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at VCU Medical Center. Born in Oklahoma, he was the son of the late Roland A. and Ida Foster Van Cleave, and was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Van Cleave and a sister, Lyndell Hand. Mr. Van Cleave was a United States Navy veteran, and a retired Satellite Communications Engineer with DynCorp. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, a former Deacon and Sunday school teacher. He received the degree of Master Mason on March 18, 1962 in the Oklahoma Lodge # 311 in Headrick, Oklahoma, and he affiliated with Blandford Lodge # 3 in Petersburg on May 9, 2006 and he received his 50 year membership certificate and pin on March 23, 2011. He was also a 32 deg. Scottish Rite Mason. Mr. Van Cleave is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bettie Lee Van Cleave; two daughters, Marcy Kroll and husband, Tim and Katrina Davis and husband, Will; two grandsons, Jacob and Joshua Kroll; and a granddaughter, Layla Davis. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 3110 Greenwood Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Dr. Andy Brockelman officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mt.
