Patricia Childers

Patricia S. "Pat" Childers, 90, of Colonial Heights, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church where she was active in many church functions and ministries. She also belonged to the Catholic Daughters of America and a was retired sales associate for J.C. Penney. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lee "Red" Childers. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Elwell and husband; John, of North Dinwiddie; grandson, J.P. Elwell and wife; Megan; great-grandson, Preston Elwell; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Garnet and Leroy Shook; sister-in-law, Joyce Childers; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Highway, South Chesterfield, Virginia 23834. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at St. Ann Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church (General Fund), St. Ann Food Pantry, or Crater Community Hospice, 3916 South Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia, 23805.
