Patricia Ferguson

Patricia Patram Ferguson died peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2014. She is survived by loving husband of 59 years, James Olin Ferguson. She is also survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Ralph W. (Shari) Stevens of Norfolk and Mr. and Mrs. Rick (Laura Beth) Louthan of Chesterfield; and six grandchildren, Jamie, Emily Beth, Molly, Ty, Annie Grace and Remi. She is also survived by her two sisters, Mrs. Brenda P. Hamm of Richmond and Ms. Yvonne P. Avery of Waterlily, North Carolina. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph O. and Cornelia G. Patram and her sons, Keith A. Ferguson and Kevin O. Ferguson. Mrs. Ferguson was the first school secretary at Lakeview Elementary School in Colonial Heights. Following her retirement, she performed mission work in Central and South America and Kosovo, as well as disaster relief work in Florida, Louisiana and New York following 9-11. She was active in her church and the Colonial Heights Women's Club. She was an avid walker and loved the beach. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 3110 Greenwood Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Jerry Parker officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at church.
