Patricia Louise Humphries, affectionately known by all as “Maw Maw,” 84, of Prince George passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 4, 2021. Born May 5, 1937, she was the daughter of the late William W. and Otha R. Smith and was also preceded in death by eleven siblings. She was a longtime member of the Colonial Heights Church of the Nazarene. A devoted grandmother, Maw Maw followed her grandchildren to all their various events. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, William M. Humphries; her son, Joe Engle; her daughter, Angie Engle; her stepchildren, Tammy Queen, Cheryl Evans, William “Skipper” Humphries and Jeff Humphries; four grandchildren, Amber Engle Crites and husband, David, Cody Engle and wife, Lindsey, Erynn Engle and Aprille Engle; three great-grandchildren, Bella, Isaiah, Conway and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
