Patricia Reese

Patricia S. "Patsy" Reese, 70, of Petersburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 27, 2011, after a long struggle with failing health. She was the daughter of the late Franklin A. and Celia H. Southall and the widow of Walter James Reese. Mrs. Reese was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. "Patsy" is survived by her daughters, Jamie A. Mills and husband, Ray of Dinwiddie, Tammy Outlaw of Chester, Joy Outlaw of Dinwiddie, Cecelia Lewis and husband, Leonard of Colonial Heights; sons, Ronald Southall and Judy Arthur of Rocky Mount, Jimmy Outlaw of Colonial Heights, Robert Reese of Petersburg; sister, Lucy Spence of Chester; brother, Woodrow "Baby Duck" Southall of Colonial Heights; grandchildren, Christy Hayes, Amanda Jones, Joseph McCormick, Allen Outlaw, Patricia Outlaw, Tracy Champion, Gene Southall, Keri Southall, Christopher Southall, Savana Hayes and "her heart," Brett Lewis; and a number of great-grandchildren and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2011, in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with Reverend Robert L. Rowland III officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2011 at the funeral home.
