Paul L. Coleman, Sr., 83, of Matoaca passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at his residence. He was the son of the late John Willard and Bertie Collier Coleman, and was preceded in death by a son, Paul L. Coleman, Jr. and a grandson, Darrell Coleman. Mr. Coleman was the owner of Coleman's Front End Alignment in Petersburg. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Lavenia Coleman; children, James M. Coleman of Georgia, and Darrell W. Coleman of Chesterfield; grandchildren, Sheila Bennett, Sean Coleman, Rita Coleman, and Jennifer Jackson; great-grandchildren, David Bennett, Brooklyn Jackson, Michael Gage, and Hannah Coleman; brothers and sisters, Howard Coleman of Fredericksburg, Joe Coleman of Kenbridge, Mary Bowen of North Carolina, Jeanette Cummings of South Hill, and Shirley Ozmore of Petersburg; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 300 Poplar Drive, Petersburg with Dr. Richard Bendall and Pastor Reed Richardi officiating.
