Paul Hackley

Paul W. Hackley, 84, Sergeant Major U. S. Army Retired, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Paul was a veteran of W.W. II, Korea, and Vietnam with a total of 30 years serving his country. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Maria Hackley; four children, Joseph P. Hackley, Linda M. Gibson and husband, Joseph A., Glen W. Hackley and wife, Traci L., Roberta A. McCotter and husband Shannon; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Mark Houser officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia, Virginia 23002. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday June 4, 2012 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's/Dementia Association Tri-Cities Branch Office, 201 Temple Avenue, Suite E, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
