Paulette Eve Turley, 66, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Paulette's contagious smile, "can do" spirit, and excitement for life will be deeply missed. Paulette was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine, and her brother, Jot Eve, a US Marine Corps jet pilot. She is survived by her daughter, Amie Turley Leonard and husband, Robbie (Chester); son, Clint Turley and wife, Leslie (Chester); son, Paul Turley and wife, Jeri (Chester); son, Shane Turley and wife, Chrissi (Charlotte, NC); 10 grandchildren: Corey, Dylan, Austin, Noah, Miranda, Alex, Jackson, Walker, Kennedy and Olivia; her father, Pinckney Eve (96), and his wife, Carroll (Beaufort, SC); her sister, Shafiya Eve (Beaufort); her sister, Wil Horton and husband, Johnny (Chester); and niece, Breeze Woodall (Jacksonville, FL); the father of her children, Steve Turley; 2 special, longtime friends, Lee "Peanut" Trainum and Jewell Bennett; and her former co-workers at DuPont. Paulette loved the water, including jet skiing with her family and friends, fishing with her former companion, Conner, and caring for her animals, Sibby, Booty and Georgette; (special thanks to her neighbor, Terry, for her help over the years), and the gracious employees of her favorite local restaurants. The family is incredibly proud to announce that because she was an organ donor and made her wishes known, Paulette's death resulted in saving 4 human lives. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
