Peggy Ball

Peggy Webb Gosnell Ball, 85, of Prince George, entered eternal rest on Friday, May 5, 2017. Born in Baltimore, Maryland she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Bessie Warfield Gosnell. Mrs. Ball was the widow of Charles Shelman Ball and was preceded in death by a brother, Leo Gosnell and three sisters, Ethel Holstien, Doris Bullen and Betty Wynn. She was an active member of Gary's United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Ball is survived by a daughter, Vera Lynn Milton and her husband, Kenneth W. Milton of Petersburg, VA; her son, Charles E. Ball; beloved grandsons, Jason Todd Millis and his wife, Michelle of Ford, VA, and Kennon Young Ball of Colonial Heights, VA; two great grandsons, Hunter Todd Millis and Connor Wade Millis, also of Ford, VA; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and her dearest friend, Willene Simmons. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 South Crater Rd Petersburg, VA 23805 with the Reverend Michael Baugham officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, S. Prince George. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, May 9, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
