Peggy Ann Cutler Main, 87, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Born in Washington, NC, on March 31, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Ollie Ola Cutler and Elsie Lee Jefferson Cutler. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Flo Darles Main, Sr. “Dobbie”; her son, Flo Darles Main, Jr. “Jay”; and her siblings, Polly Guirkin, Ollie Ray “Buddy” Cutler, Larry “Peewee” Cutler, and Robert “Poodle” Cutler. 

Peggy grew up a member at Woodard’s Pond Church of Christ in Washington, North Carolina. She worked for Coburn Optical for over 20 years, and then went on to work for Walmart as a Sales Associate in their children’s department. She loved her job there immensely, and was known well for her role as Mrs. Claus during Christmas time at Walmart. In addition to her work, Peggy was very active and loved to go places. She loved her kitties, going camping, loved to bowl in different groups and leagues, and was known to be the best cook. Most importantly, she loved her family and spending time with them. 

She is survived by her children, Joyce Main Burnley (Dickie), Kenneth Lee Main, and Stephen Jasper Main (Amy); her grandchildren, Tracy C. Brown, Stephen Jay Main (Cierra), Jonathan Burnley (Kathleen), Aaron Burnley (Jaime), Casie Dunkerly (Marc), and Christopher Hix (Kristen); 10 great-grandchildren, Haleigh Brown Petree (Joseph), Matthew Brown (Brianna), Brooke Burnley, Slater De’Vine-Dunkerly, Hunter Hix, Mattie Hix, Marshall Hix, Brooks Dunkerly, Cash Dunkerly, and Walker Dunkerly; siblings, Charlie Frank Cutler “ Butch” (Vera), Patsy Cutler Woolard (Warren), and Betty Cutler Elzey (Mike); and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
