Perry Wilkerson

Perry Lee Wilkerson, 91, of Dinwiddie, died December 20, 2008 at the Medical College of Virginia. He was the son of the late Emmett F. and Minnie Lee Wilkerson. Perry was a W.W. II United States Army Veteran. Mr. Wilkerson is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rebecca R. Wilkerson; two sons, Donald L. Wilkerson, and wife, Tracy Bailey Wilkerson, of Prince George, Terry M. Wilkerson, and wife, Liz, of Chesterfield; five grandchildren, Melissa and Kristy Wilkerson, of Chesterfield, Sarah Wilkerson, of Dinwiddie, Mary Wilkerson, and Matthew McDevitt, of Prince George; two great grandchildren, Kiley Stryker, and Gage Proffit, of Chesterfield. A celebration of life service will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Western Heights Baptist Church, 24416 Cox Rd., Petersburg, with the Rev. Jonathan Dundalow officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights.
