Phillip W. Morris, 52, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 13, 2015. Born on September 21, 1962, he was the son of the late Elwood and Mildred White Morris, and was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred B. Hanchey. Phillip worked as an electrician at Dominion Virginia Power. He was a former chief and lifetime member of the Jefferson Park Volunteer Fire Department. Phillip and Teresa met at the drive thru window, fell in love and were married in 1983, and have lived in Prince George for over 25 years. He had many hobbies, he loved going to the beach, camping and volunteering in the community. He dreamed of retiring one day to Prince George, to be able to continue spoiling all of the grandbabies, and traveling with his wife. His family is forever grateful for the time they were blessed to have him, and for the friends and community who have sent their support and prayers. Phillip is survived by his wife, Teresa Morris; his children, Mica Ferlis (Brian), Megan Morris and fiancé, Kevin Lauranzon, Josh and Elizabeth Morris; grandchildren, Tommy, Cole and Cody all of Prince George; sisters, Dianna Renshaw of Virginia Beach and Julia Williams of Chester; brothers, Elwood "Bubba" Morris and Linwood Morris both of Prince George. A Funeral Service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Burial will be held at Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the funeral home.
