Preston Baird Harville

Preston Baird Harville, 72, of Carson, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023. He was born June 25, 1950 to the late Francis Belsches Harville and the late Anne Ruth Baird Harville. Preston was a proud farmer, who loved the outdoors, and worked hard for everything he had. He was always busy doing something “that needed to be done right now.” He could always make you laugh and was known for his unwavering love for his family. He was affectionately known as “Gramps” by his own grandchildren, as well as others who thought of him as their grandfather. He was a friend to many and would do anything for you, without question or hesitation. He will be deeply missed but will forever be in our hearts.  

He is survived by daughters; Angela Chambers of Prince George, Kayla Deaver of Carson; son, Justin Harville (Brandy) of Carson; grandkids, Brayden Chambers, Alyson Chambers, Lauryn Chambers, Tanner Harville, Colton Harville; brother; Larry Harville (Katie), sister; Diane Harville (Joe), nephew, Steven Steele (Alison) of Austin, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805.
