Quinlan Steele Thomas, age 3, our bravest little warrior, left our loving arms on Wednesday, August 13, 2014. For most of his young life, Quinlan fought a rare form of Leukemia with strength and courage beyond his young age. His resiliency became known as the "Q Factor" within the halls of VCU Medical Center and all that knew him. Quinlan is survived by his parents, Tony and Caroline Thomas; his younger brother, Zander; his maternal grandparents, Dianne and Joe Waldron; maternal great-grandfather and wife, Thomas Dzurko and Linda; aunts, Beth Forbes, Bridget Kirby, Jaci Chmielewski, Pam Lauter, Karen Farren, Debbie Thomas, Stephanie Crockell, and Rebecca Watson; uncles, Bret Forbes, Nathan Kirby, Dylan Waldron, Kim Thomas, D.R. Farren, and Mark Watson; cousins, Owen and Olivia Forbes, Jayden, Tucker, and Sadie Kirby, Nikki and Tripp Farren, Brandon Lauter, and Rachel Crockell. Quinlan was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Constance Thomas. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the West End Baptist Church, 6506 Boydton Plank Road, N. Dinwiddie, Virginia 23803, with Chaplain Tom David Siebert officiating.
