Ralph Golden

Ralph O. Golden, 82, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late William H. and Cecil Walthrip Golden, and was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Marie Golden and a brother, William H. Golden. Mr. Golden attended Immanuel Baptist Church, was a veteran in the U.S. Air Force, and retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company as a machine operator. He is survived by his wife, Bernice M. Golden; nieces, Debra Morris Goddard and husband Mark of Chesterfield, Shirley Skinner Sprouse and husband Wayne of Richmond, and Jay Morris Good of Richmond; nephew, John W. Skinner Jr. and wife Jenny of Farnham; several great nieces and great nephews; and a sister-in-law, Gladys Morris. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2008 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend David Prather officiating. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday (tonight) at the funeral home.
