Randolph Spain Rose, Jr., 76, of Colonial Heights passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Born October 2, 1948, he was the son of the late Yetta Adams and Randolph Spain Rose, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Simpson Rose.
Randolph proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he had the honor of briefly playing in the military band. He then became a motorcycle police officer for the Petersburg Police Department.
Randolph transitioned to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), where he served as a toll collector and eventually retired as a supervisor after nearly three decades.
He is survived by his son, Randolph Spain Rose III; sister, Catherine Rose Holly Fine; brother, Donald Rose; and other extended family members.
Interment will be private. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Online condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
