Raymond Nugent Jr.

Raymond "Buddy" Nugent, Jr., 79, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Born July 23, 1938, he was the son of the late Raymond, Sr. and Ruby W. Nugent. Mr. Nugent was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was an outdoors enthusiast who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loved archery. Buddy was a big fan of NASCAR and he often played guitar. He also loved his coffee and chocolate. He is survived by his loving wife, Florence J. Nugent; daughters, Brenda Noe and husband, Chuck, Christine Cimino and husband, Tony, Sr.; grandchildren, Tony Cimino, Jr., David Cimino, Katy Noe and Madison Cimino; great-grandchildren, Tony Cimino III, Vinny Cimino, and Charlotte Hicks; three sisters, Jean Barker and husband, Claude, Barbara Brooks and husband, Earl, Shirley Volz; brother, Kenneth Nugent and wife, Sallie; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family. The family will receive friends Thursday night, November 2, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, VA 23805. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011.
