Raymond Bryant Wolfrey, 72, of Petersburg, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 9, 2024. He was surrounded by family and friends in his last days.
Raymond, also known as “Ray” was born to Frances and Wilton Wolfrey on May 8, 1952. He grew up in Petersburg, VA and was employed for many years as a welder. He was a long-time, die-hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR.
Raymond’s memory will be carried on by his wife, Debbie Wolfrey; daughter, Angela Sharp (Tom); grandson, Jaelin Frank (Haileigh); granddaughter, Hailey Fink; great grandson, Whitten Frank; sisters, Dianne Lewis (John L), Dale Alter; brothers, Eric Wolfrey (Lois), Wayne Wolfrey, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends. He was preceded in death by the beloved Frances Wolfrey, Wilton Wolfrey, Cindy Frazier, Michael Frazier, Buddy Alter, and his dog, Chase.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. A celebration of life will be held at Raymond and Debbie’s home at a later date.
Ray always said to never say “Bye,” always say “Later!” So, “LATER!” Raymond (Dad), until we see you again! We love you and we will miss you so much! GO COWBOYS!!!
