Reba L. Thacker, 95, of Colonial Heights passed on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Born January 27, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Otis McCoy and Clara Maude Lilley, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Thacker, Sr.; son, Thomas C. Thacker, Jr.; six sisters; and one brother. Reba was the oldest member of First Baptist Church in Petersburg, was a member of the American Legion Post 284 Ladies Auxiliary, and was very active with the Colonial Heights Seniors. She worked briefly for Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company. She is survived by her sister, Elsie L. Heath of Williamston, North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 3, 2017 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend Robert Dawson officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the funeral home.
