Retha Whorley

Retha Reel (Bodge) Whorley, 72, of Prince George, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at John Randolph Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Marena Currance Reel. Mrs. Whorley was a former member of Moorefield Methodist Church, West Virginia. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Richard Marvin Whorley; a son, William J. (Jamie) Merhout of Prince George; special friends, Phillip and Terry White; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Ivan Perkinson officiating. Interment to follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
