Rhonda Kirkland

Rhonda Jo Kirkland, 55, of Matoaca, passed away Monday, April 1, 2019. Rhonda was at her happiest when she was fishing and spending time with her beloved pit bull puppy, Brute. She is survived by her husband, Donald Wayne Kirkland Jr.; son, Matthew Kyle Kirkland of Matoaca; stepson, Donald Wayne Kirkland III of Mooresville, North Carolina; three grandchildren; parents, Rev. H. Frank and Inez Bowen Lawson of Port Richey, Florida; brothers, Randy F. Lawson and his wife, Elizabeth of Hickory, North Carolina, and Gary L. Lawson and his wife, Patricia of Poquoson, Virginia; sister, Denise L. Mudd and her husband, Richard of Port Richey, Florida; three nieces; and three nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Western Heights Baptist Church, 24416 Cox Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23803, with Rev. Jonathan Dundalow officiating. Arrangements made by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
