Richard "Mark" Markwood Good Jr., 52, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2012 at his home. He was the widower of Justine F. Good; and was the son of Richard "Dick" Good Sr. and the late Martha C. Good. He was preceded in death by his twin daughters, Ashley and Brittney Good. He is survived by his son, Trey Good of Dinwiddie; sister, Ellen Kelly and husband, R.P. of Raleigh, North Carolina and sister, Barbara Hearn and husband, Steve of Chesterfield; along with many nieces and nephews. Mark began his career as a firefighter, as a volunteer, in Colonial Heights at the age of 14, after high school he was employed by VDOT. He then went on to pursue his career as a professional firefighter with Chesterfield County Fire/EMS for the next 20 years. Mark was very multi-talented. Throughout his life he was always willing to help friends and family. Mark truly enjoyed his times spent on the beaches of Hatteras. A memorial service will be held from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Colonial Heights Moose Lodge, 170 Moose Lane Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. A private service will be held at a later date with immediate family only. Arrangements are being provided by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory.
