Richard Greenberg

Dr. Richard "Dick" Greenberg, 83, of Prince George, Virginia, formerly of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at his residence. He was the son of the late Emmanuel P. and Nellie Shestack Greenberg, and the widower of Cora May Greenberg. Dr. Greenberg was a WW II U.S. Navy Veteran, a graduate of Villanova University, and the Philadelphia School of Osteopathy and retired from his medical practice with over 45 years in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Greenberg is survived by his loving family: a son, Neil Greenberg, of Swainton, New Jersey; a daughter, Janet Marburger and her husband, Reverend Wayne Marburger of Prince George, Virginia; seven grandchildren: Cara Fisher and husband, Todd; Kristen Brooks and husband, Dale; Jef Marburger and wife, Tiffany; Ryan Marburger and wife, Jessica; Keith Greenberg and wife, Mary; Justin Greenberg; and Aaron Greenberg; thirteen great grandchildren, Elissa McKay and husband, Michael; Jason Stoner and wife, Amber; Todd and Brooke Fisher; Victoria, Katelyn, Anna and Gracie Brooks; Alexis and Kaylee Marburger; Grayden, Griffin, and Olivia Greenberg, and two great-great-grandsons, Christian McKay and Kaiden Stoner. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 South Crater Road with the Reverend Wayne Marburger officiating. Entombment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Virginia, 7231 Forest Ave., Richmond, Virginia 23226.
