Richard Thompson Horner, 31, of Colonial Heights, died Tuesday January 20, 2015. He was born December 9, 1983 in Petersburg, Virginia. Richard was preceded in death by his grandfather Lt Col. Marion R. Horner, Sr. grandmother; Anne S. Horner, grandfather; Richard Thompson, aunt Nancy Lordani, uncles John Thompson, Jimmy Thompson, and Danny Horner. He was a graduate of Colonial Heights High School, a member of Cub Scout Pack 160, Boy Scout Troop 160 and assistant Scout Master with Troop 160; he loved video games and John Deer Tractors having one of his own, 10-10 RU Model. Richard is survived by his parents, Marion Ray Horner, Jr. and Betty Thompson Horner, sister Tammy Lively and husband Jeremy of Prince George, brother John Horner of Colonial Heights, nephews Jacob and Andrew Lively of Prince George, three nieces of Colonial Heights, grandmother Thelma Thompson of Gretna, aunts Leslie Kendall of Wilson North Carolina, Peggy Cook of Gretna, Christine Thompson Ringgold, Virginia, uncle Donald "Duck' Thompson, of Gretna, cousin and best friend Amanda Brumfield Gibson, and many other beloved cousins.
