Richard M. Jones

Richard McConnell Jones was born on October 2, 1958, in Petersburg, Virginia. Son of Dr. James Tazewell, Jones, Jr. and Betty Jones Ridout. "Ricky passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully surrounded by family, in a Richmond area hospital on December 31, 2024, at the age of 66. Ricky grew up in Colonial Heights, Virginia. He served in the US Navy after completing high school and then was employed as a commercial painter by local area contractors. He took great pride in his work over the years. Ricky is survived by his mother, sisters Vicki Jones Baldwin (Greg), Sandra Lee Jones, Susan Jones Parent (Wally), stepsister, Robin Ridout Borkowski (Tom), stepbrother David Ridout (Connie). His uncle John B. Jones (Lawana). He was preceded in death by his father and brother, James Tazewell Jones, III (Shirley) and stepfather, William D. Ridout. Ricky had a heart of gold, dearly loved by his family and will be greatly missed. A small private family gathering will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, to honor his memory.
