Richard Patterson

Richard "Rick" Henry Patterson, 53, of Surry, passed away January 11, 2011. He was the son of the late Hobart and Geneva Simmons Patterson. Richard was an Equipment Specialist for Dominion Virginia Power at the Surry Power Station. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Lea Patterson; sisters, Phyllis Reynolds of Roanoke, Virginia; Judy Gilbert and husband, Charles of Amherst, Virginia; Aunt, Jeressa Thompson; and will be remembered and loved by his extended family members and friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 29, 2011 from 1-3:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard, 23834. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Surry Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 260, Surry, Virginia 23883, in memory of Rick Patterson, or to Virginia Deer Hunters Association, P.O. Box 34746, Richmond, Virginia, 23234, in memory of Rick Patterson for Youth Hunts.
