Richard Riehl Sr.

Richard James Riehl Sr., 58, of Colonial Heights, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019. He was born in Oceanside, New York to the late Arthur and Henrietta Riehl on August 28, 1960. Mr. Riehl was retired from the Nassau County Public Works Department. He enjoyed making hobby models and painting ceramics, but above all loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of seven years, Yvonne Riehl; children, Richie Riehl Jr., Heather Normyle, and Kristle Riehl; grandchildren, Joseph, Justin, Christian, Uriah, Amberly, McKenzie, and Hunter; and brother, Michael Riehl. Visitation will be held from 2:00p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Blandford Cemetery, 319 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23803. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
