Richard Clark Tutwiler, Jr. "Dick," 90, of Prince George, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Sunday, July 1, 2018. He was born on February 12, 1928 to the late Richard Clark Tutwiler, Sr. and Louise Woodward Tutwiler. Dick is survived by his wife of 60 years, Davidina Partin Tutwiler; daughter, Davidina Sutherland "Muff" (James C. Sutherland, Jr.); son, Richard Clark Tutwiler, III; grandchildren, Caitlin Reese, Matt Reese, Clark Tutwiler, and Reid Tutwiler; sisters-in-law, Ruth Privette, Jeanie Sutton, and Jean Tutwiler; and many other loving relatives. Dick was a retired Lieutenant Colonel with the United States Army Reserve and was a soil scientist for Dinwiddie County for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors, classical music and wildlife. Dick will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. A memorial visitation will be held from 5p.m. to 7p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Interment will be private.
