Robert Hines Jr.

Robert B. Hines Jr., 80, of Colonial Heights, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Riverview on the Appomattox. He was born May 5, 1935 to the late Robert Beauford Hines Sr. and Elizabeth Taylor Hines, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Dena Marie Hines and a sister, Betty Hines. Mr. Hines was the owner and operator of AAA Appliance Repair Company. He is survived by his children, John K. Hines of Bedford, Anthony H. Hines of Petersburg, and Dean R. Hines of Colonial Heights, Elizabeth Marie Heath and her husband, Chris of S. Chesterfield, Robert B. Hines III and his wife, Rhonda of Colonial Heights, Cynthia J. Dillon and husband, Pete of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and four brothers. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2016 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Mr. Wilson Abernathy officiating. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday in Oakwood Cemetery in South Hill, Virginia.
