Robert "Bob' B. Kump, 94, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg. He was born in Prince George County, Virginia to the late Frank and Mary Nedvid Kump and was preceded in death by a son, Randall Wayne Kump. Mr. Kump was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Bohemia and was a U.S. Army World War II, Veteran. He was the former proprietor of Kump Auto Service Station in Colonial Heights. Mr. Kump was a member of American Legion Post # 284, and VFW # 2239. Mr. Kump was the founder and past president for over forty years of the Tri-City Hunt Club and was an avid Outdoorsman and Hunter. He loved to hunt and fish. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Kump; son, Steve Kump and wife, Linda of Colonial Heights; two grandchildren, Cayce Kump of Decatur, Georgia, Monica Strang of Hopewell; two great grandchildren, Madison and Camden and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2013 in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church Cemetery Dinwiddie, Virginia. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 13, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard.
