Robert Edmond Mason Robert "Inky" Mason passed away on August 11, 2017. He was a devoted husband and father. Family and friends remember Robert's warm smile, great sense of humor, big heart, generosity, selflessness, and kind-hearted compassion. He was a very active member and deacon of the Woodlawn Baptist Church and also served in the Virginia National Guard. He was employed as a trainer at Allied Chemical for over 40 years. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with grandchildren, Mason Lee Frazier and Lauren Nicole Wells. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Nettie Moore Mason and daughters Tammy Lynne Mason (JoEllen Mason) and Kim Mason Wells (C. Todd Wells) and aunt Margaret Jackson, many other nieces, nephews and family members. The family also wishes to recognize William Ragsdale, William Watkins, & Curtis and Ann Dennis for their devoted friendship and loyal support. Proceeded in death by his father, Curtis Rucker Mason and mother, Hilda Jackson Earles, brother Benjamin Rucker Mason, and uncle Ben Jackson. The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at E. Alvin Small Funeral Home in Colonial Heights, VA from 6 to 8pm. There will be a graveside service for those who wish to attend on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Southlawn Cemetery in Prince George County at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of Robert to Woodlawn Baptist Church in Colonial Heights, VA.
