Robert Minor

Robert G. Minor, 83, of Colonial Heights formerly of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at St. Francis Medical Center.  He was born August 23, 1937 in Richmond, Virginia to the late Howard Woodrow and Audrey Estelle Camden Minor.  Mr. Minor, a 1957 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, was a United States Army National Guard Veteran and retired after 20 years of service from BI Chemicals as a Purchasing Agent.  Mr. Minor was a member of Swift Creek Baptist Church in Colonial Heights, the Gideon’s, and served many years in Prison Ministries.  He is survived by his wife, Julia “Judy” Wills Minor, two daughters Tamela “Tammy” Minor Hughes and husband Herb and Allison Minor Kincaid; six grandchildren, Justin Hughes and wife Laura, Taylor Hughes, Marshall Hughes, Jordan Kincaid, Jonathan Kincaid, and Landon Kincaid; two great-grandchildren, Caleb Hughes and Juliana Hughes; two brothers, Ronald “Ronnie” Minor and wife Mary Ann, and Howard “Bud” Minor; and numerous nieces and nephews.   A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Swift Creek Baptist Church 18510 Branders Bridge Road Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Dr. Steven Felker officiating.  Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Chester, Virginia.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Church.
