Robert Wilson

Robert "Bob" E. Wilson, 94, of Petersburg, passed on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the Vista Park Memory Care Center. He was born in Petersburg, Virginia on June 12, 1921 to the late Irby R. and Carie H. Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a United States Navy Veteran serving during World War II. He loved to hunt, fish, tending to his garden, and working in his woodshop. Mr. Wilson was predeceased by his wife, Barbara R. Wilson and seven siblings. He is survived by his son, Charles R. Wilson and wife, Pam; grandson, Charles C. Wilson and wife, Donna; granddaughter, Megan W. Demeline and husband, Mike; great-grandchildren, Cayla Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Colton Gunn, and Greyson Demeline; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2015 in Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Rd Prince George, Virginia 23805, with the Reverend Barry Ginn officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road.
