Robert “Bob” Morse of Chester, formerly of Guilford, Connecticut passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020, in Richmond, Virginia. He was born in Bar Harbor, Maine November 17, 1947, to the late Donald Morse and Louise Haslam, and was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jenny Morse.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Dawn Cockrell (Dale) of Sutherland, Virginia; step-son, Tony Madera of Berlin, New Hampshire; grandchildren, Talon Baxter (Lauren Montgomery) of Colonial Heights, Hayley Tally (Kevin) of Dinwiddie, C.T. Kleinkauf and Mikkah Madera of Libson, New Hampshire, and Angelina Madera of Old Lyme, Connecticut; and great-grandchildren, Brynn, Bryce, and Julian.
Bob was a Westbrook High School graduate, and former CNC machinist for Pratt and Whitney. His family would describe him as caring, sensitive, strong-willed and open-minded. He was a lifelong hippie, the “cool” dad, an artist, a short-order cook, a guitarist, a patriot, and a generous, loyal, and lifelong friend to everyone he knew.
A graveside service will take place at St. George Cemetery in Guilford, Connecticut at a later date.
