Rodger Lee Perkinson, 67, of S. Chesterfield, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond H. Perkinson, and a sister, Patricia Dianne Perkinson. Mr. Perkinson was a retired Shop Foreman with Richard L. Crowder Construction. He is survived by his wife, Sharon B. Perkinson; daughter, Joy Lynn Perkinson Black and husband, Shane; son, Rodger L. Perkinson II and wife, Kristie; grandchildren, Jordan Lee Black, Mykala Faye Black, Rodger Lee Perkinson III and Kevin Lance Perkinson; his mother, Mary Marek Campbell all of S. Chesterfield; brother, Raymond A. Perkinson of Johnson City, Tennessee; sister, Barbara "Jean" Jordan of Dinwiddie; numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with Pastor Ryan Atchison officiating. Burial will follow in the Marek-Belcher Family Cemetery, S. Chesterfield, Virginia 23803.
