Roger Bowyer

Roger Allen Bowyer, "A Good Man", 73, of Carson, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017. Born February 25, 1944, he was the son of the late Durward Allen Bowyer and Lula Hudgins Bowyer, and was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kayla Bowyer. Mr. Bowyer was a United States Marine veteran, having served his country from 1961-1969, and was a member of Masonic Lodge #804 Venus Lodge in Venus, Texas. For many years, Roger worked as a Quality Safety and Environmental Control for DBI. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruby Lorretta Bowyer; children, Roger A. Bowyer, Jr and wife, Michelle, Christal Dawn Bowyer Gryder and husband Randy; grandchildren, Carter Gryder, Caroline Gryder, Claire Gryder; honorary grandchildren, Christian and Daniel Guerrero; siblings, Carol B. Sims, Kevin Bowyer, Claudia Makela. Services will be private. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
