Roland Conaway

Roland Aubrey Conaway, 79, of Prince George, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Clarence J. and Dessie Marley Conaway. Mr. Conaway was the owner / operator of the Walnut Hill Barber Shop for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Ellen R. Conaway; two daughters, Sandyra R. Thompson and husband Rick, of Prince George , and Teresa S. Jarratt of Indiana; sisters, Madeline Sipes and Ruth Ann Nash of Westminster, Maryland; four grandchildren, Tyler Morgan Thompson, Tanner Logan Thompson, Georginna Rose Jarratt, and Thomas S. Jarratt; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 in the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road with the Reverend Robert Livesay officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. funeral home. Please, in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Oakland Baptist Church Building Fund, 12601 Prince George Drive Disputanta, Va 23842. No food please.
