Roland Jackson

Roland Sicrow Jackson, 79, of Dinwiddie, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2010. He was the son of the late Clyde William and Effie Mae Jackson. He was a United States Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Jackson was a 40 year member of the Colonial Heights Moose #1783, Colonial Heights American Legion Post #284, the VFW, and the Colonial Squares Square Dancing Club. He is survived by his children, Roland C. "Ron" Jackson Jr., Thelma "Sissy" Jackson Dunbar, Robin G. Jackson, and Sherry Jackson Chappell; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Robert "Bobby" Jackson and Jerry Ray Jackson. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010 in Mill Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, 6329 Mill Swamp Road, Ivor, Virginia 23866. The family will receive friends Wednesday December 15, 2010 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
