Ronald Cox Sr.

Ronald Raymond Cox, Sr., 78, of Matoaca passed away on Sunday November 27, 2016 at his residence. Born on January 22, 1938, he was the son of the late Thomas Donahue and Mamie Elizabeth Cox, and was also preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Donahue Cox, Jr. Mr. Cox spend many hours by the water and in the woods, as he had a passion for fishing and hunting. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Jean Cox; son, Ronald R. Cox, Jr. and wife, Nikki; granddaughters, Sadie E. and Madelyn G. Cox; and niece, Donna Sprouse and husband, Dean. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will follow in East Matoaca Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night November 29, 2016 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
