Ronald "Glenn" Ridout, 85, of Matoaca, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at his residence. Born on December 19, 1931, he was the son of the late Willie Snead and Iva Wray Ridout and was also preceded in death by his three brothers, Willis, Boyden, and Douglas Ridout. Glenn served in the Army National Guard and was a United States Navy Veteran. He retired after 29 years of service from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company as a supervisor in the shipping room. Glenn enjoyed hunting and fishing, going to ball games with his sons, and loved traveling with his wife. He was a member of the Petersburg Old Geezers Club and a past Boys Scout leader of Troop #136. He is Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Alice Kuska Ridout; four children, Ann R. Wilson of Matoaca, Ronnie Ridout and wife, Charlette of Matoaca, Ricky Ridout and his wife, Tonia, of Clarksville, and Vachele Beals and husband, Michael of Matoaca; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew, Megan, Lindsey, Ashley, Brandon, Patricia, Hanna; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Southlawn Memorial Park 1911 Birdsong Rd South Prince George 23805 with Reverend Steven Gupton officiating, of the First Baptist Church in Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard. Keep on smiling, never give up, and praise the Lord. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St Jude Children Hospital Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
