Ronald Turner

Ronald Hughes Turner 69, of Church Road, passed away Sunday November 20, 2011 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Ron began his journey in this life on October 15, 1942. He was the son of the late Daily and Ada Mercer Turner. Mr. Turner was a United States Army and Vietnam Conflict veteran. He was a member of the Petersburg Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Ron met and married Linda J. Turner, the greatest love of his life and they were married for 47 years They had four children that survive him Tony Turner, Robin Jordan, Renee Hanifer and husband Robert, Ashlee Turner, seven grandchildren, Mickele, Jayme, Jacob, Kayla, Cheyenne, Zachary, and Gabriel. A funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday November 23, 2011 at the Petersburg Ward Chapel The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 1800 Johnson Road Petersburg, Virginia 23805 with Bishop Londo Andrews officiating. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends Tuesday November 22, 2011 from 7-8:30 p.m.at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard. Flowers are welcomed or contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in honor of Ron.
