Rosa Elam

Rosa Skelton Elam, 67, of Prince George, passed away on Monday March 30, 2009 at the Dunlop House in Colonial Heights, VA. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Lucy Greene Skelton. Mrs. Elam was preceded in death by three brothers, Junius, James, and Henry Skelton; and a sister, Marie Walker. She was a former member of the Colonial Heights Garden Club, and a member of the Country Club of Petersburg. Mrs. Elam is survived by her husband, John T. Elam; daughters, Suzanne E. Manning and husband, Douglas of Centreville, VA and Teresa C. Elam of Richmond; VA. a grandson, John Manning; two sisters, Ann Walthall of Petersburg, and Agnes Skelton of Richmond; a brother, Milton Skelton of Heathville. A funeral service will be held 1:30 P.M. on Thursday April 2, 2009.in the Colonial Heights chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Tom Lowman officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 Wednesday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S.
