Rosalie Sutton

Rosalie C. Sutton, 41, of Sandston, formerly of Chester, passed away at her home surrounded by loved ones, on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 to be with her father, Kenneth Sutton who passed in 1974. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rosa Lee and Welton E. Long. Rosalie worked as a Shipping Clerk with the Mundy Company. She is survived by her mother, Joan L. Newell and stepfather, Sonny of Chester; two brothers, George W. Sutton and wife, Christy of Sandston, and Denny Aberle and wife, Debbie of Thawville, Illinois; nieces and nephews, Thomas, Patience & Lewis Cottrill, and Renee, Kristen & Matthew Aberle; uncles and aunt, James Long, Steve Long, and Cheryl Battle; her best friend, Helen Merritt. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2009 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with Pastor Richie Underhill, of the Quest Church in Richmond, will officiate. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
