Rose Mason

Rose Ella Mason 77, of Colonial Heights, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017. She was born March 25, 1940 to the late Lee Mayes and Ella Vaughan Mayes, and was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Benny Mason and several other beloved brothers and sisters. Rose was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. She is survived by daughter, Lisa Williams; son, Mike Mason and wife, Michelle; three grandchildren, Heather Williams, Curtis and Rachel Mason; a sister Jean Joyner and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017 in Woodlawn Baptist Church, 3120 Woodlawn Ave, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834, with the Reverend Terri Mason officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Virginia. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Woodlawn Baptist Church.
