Roseanna Myers "Rosie" Schoolcraft, 66, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2014 at the Medical College of Virginia. She was born on November 7, 1947 in Jesse, West Virginia to the late John Thelma and Bertha Beatrice Corn Myers, and was preceded in death by her son, David Ray Porter; two brothers, Marion Boyd Myers, Joseph Arthur Myers; and a sister, Elise Juanita Wingler. Rosie formerly worked at the Hopewell store of the Virginia State ABC Board. She was a member of Colonial Christian Church in Colonial Heights, she loved sewing, quilting, cooking and spending time with her friends at the mall. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Charles D. (Charlie) Schoolcraft; brothers, Johnnie Randell Myers and wife, Bertha of Thomasville, North Carolina, Dannie Ray Myers and wife, Pat of Goldsboro, North Carolina, Virgil Carlos Myers and wife, Beulah of Clearfork, West Virginia, Charles Leonard Myers and wife, Gloria of Surveyor, West Virginia; sisters, Pauline Stewart of Matheny, West Virginia, Faye Jenivee Bailey of Pineville, West Virginia, Carolina Vaught and husband, Skip of Austinburg, Ohio, Mary Margaret Legg and husband, Fred of Red House, West Virginia; and a sister-in-law, Bonnie Accord Myers of Matheny, West Virginia. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Colonial Christian Church, 295 Dunlop Farms Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Alan Little officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Colonial Christian Church. Funeral arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
